About the role
This position is designed for a sonography student in their final year of an accredited program who will work around their class and clinical schedule to gain on-the-job training and earn pay.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for staying informed about policy changes.
- Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
- Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a staff Sonographer.
- Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records to improve departmental operations.
- Collaborates with other departments as needed.
- Assists with room preparation and restocking of supplies.
- Engages in educational activities to enhance patient care and service quality.
- Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound.
- CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Pay
$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
