About the role

This position is designed for a sonography student in their final year of an accredited program who will work around their class and clinical schedule to gain on-the-job training and earn pay.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for staying informed about policy changes.
  • Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
  • Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a staff Sonographer.
  • Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records to improve departmental operations.
  • Collaborates with other departments as needed.
  • Assists with room preparation and restocking of supplies.
  • Engages in educational activities to enhance patient care and service quality.
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current enrollment in an AMA or CMA accredited program in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Pay

$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
