About the role
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce quality images for interpretation, ensuring safety and equipment functionality.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, adjusts, and maneuvers ultrasound equipment and transducers for exams.
- Implements safety standards, performs quality control, and recognizes significant structures, artifacts, and pathology.
- Ensures timely submission of high-quality images to PACS, maintains department cleanliness, and complies with regulations.
- Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and assists with various imaging procedures.
- Supports a safe environment through alertness and adherence to protocols.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Sonography program.
- Active registration as a sonographer with appropriate specialty (Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- No prior experience required.
Physical & Skills Requirements
- Constant standing and walking.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity.
- Good vision and hearing.
- Effective communication skills.
