Sonographer - PRN

About the role

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for interpretation, ensuring equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated safely.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and maneuvers transducers and equipment for routine and complex exams.
• Follows safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment issues.
• Ensures accurate image submission and proper labeling to PACS.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the department.
• Supports regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Sonography program; no prior experience required.
• Must hold a valid sonographer registration such as RDMS (Abdomen or OB/GYN), RVS, or RVT.
• BLS certification required.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Technical proficiency with ultrasound equipment.
• Physical stamina for frequent standing, lifting, and patient handling.
• Strong communication skills.
