About the role
As a Sonographer at MercyOne Genesis, you will perform ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related ultrasound procedures as necessary on a scheduled or emergent basis. You will maintain related records and provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies. Additionally, you will provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

- Provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies.
- Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, Values, Actions, and Promise in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Requirements
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with one of the following: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS).
- If not registered, be board-eligible and become registered with ARDMS within one year of hire.
- ARDMS preferred but ARRT, or Cardiovascular Credentialing Internation (CCI) also accepted.
- Maintain active registry status with ARDMS (30 CME’s every 3 yrs/annual payment).
- Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every two (2) years thereafter.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited sonography program.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Experience in performing ultrasound exams.
- Knowledge of relevant medical terminology and anatomy.
