About the role
Seeking a highly skilled Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients, producing high-quality images for interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and adjusting equipment, maneuvering transducers, and performing routine and complex imaging studies
- Implementing safety standards, conducting quality control, and ensuring proper functioning of equipment
- Recognizing anatomical structures, artifacts, pathologies, and equipment limitations
- Submitting accurate images and documentation promptly to PACS
- Maintaining a clean and compliant department environment, and assisting with various imaging procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Completion of a Sonography program
- Current registration as a Sonographer with two or more appropriate ARDMS registries, such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast, Fetal Echocardiography, or Vascular specialties
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- No prior experience required
Skills and physical requirements
- Constant standing, walking, and patient handling
- Use of vision, hearing, and speech for communication and monitoring equipment
- Frequent lifting (0–25 lbs) and occasional heavier objects, as well as reaching, gripping, and data entry
- Occasional bending, stooping, and twisting
This role involves PRN/per diem work with a focus on safety, accuracy, and departmental maintenance.
