Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action, tech meets trust, and innovation is a way of life. The Experience Library team builds and owns a content authoring and rendering platform that powers marketing pages across salesforce.com, enabling high-quality, localized, and performant web experiences at scale.

About The Team

The Experience Library team is part of the Digital Marketing Technology organization at Salesforce. We work across the full stack with a strong frontend focus, building modular blade component libraries, WordPress integrations, and a robust rendering layer that serves global audiences. Our team embraces a "you build it, you own it" culture, where engineers are responsible for quality, performance, and reliability from design to deployment. We are actively integrating AI into our workflows, accelerating initiatives, and expanding internationalization support to new global markets.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality, production-grade frontend and full-stack features for the Page Builder platform using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for domains within the Page Builder platform, including the blade components library, CMS integration, or rendering pipelines.
  • Build and ship modular, reusable, and accessible UI components that power salesforce.com marketing pages at scale.
  • Take ownership of features from design through execution, writing design specs, defining test strategies, and delivering code that meets quality, performance, and observability standards.
  • Integrate AI tools (e.g., Agentforce, Slackbot, Cursor, Claude, Codex) into your engineering workflow to accelerate development and up-level the team's use of AI.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Principal Engineers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver exceptional digital experiences.
  • Mentor AMTS and MTS team members through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Contribute to code reviews, monitor features in production, and champion engineering best practices and quality standards.
  • Manage delivery complexity by slicing stories and epics, defining tasks, and exposing dependencies and risks during sprint planning.
  • Present designs to internal groups and contribute to retrospectives, playbooks, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on frontend and full-stack web development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in modern frontend frameworks (React preferred; Vue, Angular, or Ember also considered).
  • Solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, and CSS frameworks such as Sass or Tailwind.
  • Experience with Node.js and building backend services that support frontend experiences (BFF pattern a plus).
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems, particularly WordPress and/or Contentful, and understanding of CMS-driven content flows into frontend rendering pipelines.
  • Proven experience building scalable, performant web applications on public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; GCP or Azure also considered).
  • Experience consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, with a solid understanding of API design and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of web performance fundamentals such as Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, caching strategies, and CDN behavior.
  • Experience with frontend testing methodologies and frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver features of medium-to-high complexity, from design through production.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, providing technical coaching, and giving constructive code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document features and present designs to peers and stakeholders.
  • A related technical degree is required.

Skills

  • Demonstrated, AI-first approach to engineering, actively using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex, etc.) to accelerate development.
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n), building experiences that scale across multiple languages and regions.
  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system or component library.
  • Familiarity with WordPress as a CMS platform, including theme development or Page/REST API consumption.
  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, npm, or Yarn.
  • Experience with CDN configuration (e.g., Akamai) and understanding of its impact on web performance.
  • Experience with analytics instrumentation and tag management (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe, Tealium).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience as an active sprint contributor and planning partner.
  • Experience building with accessibility standards (WCAG) in mind.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent experience is a plus.
