Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace

About the role

AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using trusted software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. We are one of the fastest-growing teams in AWS, and interface with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end
• Collaborate with other engineers on the team, principal engineers, product managers, and partner teams
• Solve complex and broad business problems of cloud marketplaces with simple and straightforward solutions
• Apply appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices
• Build solutions that scale and perform well

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success delivering new features or products. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. This person has design and implementation experience, knowledge of web services and protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of distributed systems architectures.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
