Sr. Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace
About the role
AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using trusted software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. We are one of the fastest-growing teams in AWS, and interface with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. We manage the state-of-the-art complex infrastructure to provide a smooth experience for sellers and buyers to buy various software and services for different domains like infrastructure software, machine learning, and IoT.
Key job responsibilities
- Solve complex and broad business problems of cloud marketplaces with simple and straightforward solutions
- Apply appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices
- Build solutions that scale and perform well
- Own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team, principal engineers, product managers, and partner teams

Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
