Sr. Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace
About the role
AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using trusted software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. We manage the state of the art complex infrastructure to provide a smooth experience for sellers and buyers to buy various software and services for different domains like infrastructure software, machine learning, and IoT. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineers to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex and broad business problems of cloud marketplaces with simple and straightforward solutions
- Apply appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices
- Build solutions that scale and perform well
- Own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team, principal engineers, product managers, and partner teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. This person has design and implementation experience, knowledge of web services and protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of distributed systems architectures.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
