Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace

AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using trusted software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. We revolutionize the way software is sold and procured. We are one of the fastest-growing teams in AWS, and interface with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. AWS Marketplace manages state-of-the-art complex infrastructure to provide a smooth experience for sellers and buyers to buy various software and services for different domains like infrastructure software, machine learning, and IoT.
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level. In this role you will own significant portions of the product and will have influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. The systems are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from a set of robust platform services, to system-level pieces and everything in between.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end
- Solve complex and broad business problems of cloud marketplaces with simple and straightforward solutions
- Apply appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices
- Build solutions that scale and perform well
- Collaborate with other engineers on the team, principal engineers, product managers, and partner teams
- Deal with ambiguity and have a desire to create, iterate, and improve
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Pay
Base salary range: $158,100.00 - $213,800.00 USD annually (New York, NY location). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
