About the role
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking SOF Exercise Designers to support the Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) located at Homestead Air Reserve Base, FL. The SOF Exercise Designer IV will provide exercise planning and scenario development.
Responsibilities
- Provide exercise planning and scenario development for Table Top Exercises (TTXs), Command Post Exercises, Senior Leader Seminars, Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercises, and Field Training Exercises.
- Conduct front-end analysis by reviewing current operational directives, standing contingency plans, and conceptual approaches.
- Create scenarios to stress decision-making, capabilities, joint warfighting functions, and address operational and tactical issues in the African environment.
- Contribute to the development of the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for operations based or complex discussion-based exercises.
- Attend all Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years experience in SOF //OR// Associate’s degree with 15 years experience working in SOF //OR// prior (E9, CW4-CW5, O5-O6) with 15 years experience working in SOF.
- Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Minimum of 6 years of recent experience serving in a command, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a SOF (USSOCOM/TSOC), Service, Joint Staff, OSD, or 3-4 Star level Service/GCC HQs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in exercise and scenario design and management.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience conducting joint and coalition operations and training.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with Service, SOF, and Joint doctrine, planning, operations, training, and exercises.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience developing operational products to support GCC and TSOC SOF/CT exercises.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience researching and integrating current intelligence and operations to develop complex scenarios, studies, and analysis related to SOF core activities for all geographic areas.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience communicating exercise design details with operational level exercise planners, staffs, and commanders; interagency partners, and partner nation exercise planners.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.
- Able to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.

- Preferred Qualifications: Completion of Service or Joint Senior Professional Military Education or Enlisted equivalent. Graduate of Service or Joint ILE or Enlisted equivalent. Prior experience assigned or supporting SOCSOUTH.
