About the role
SOF Exercise Designers support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) headquartered at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii. They provide exercise planning and scenario development for various types of exercises.
Responsibilities
- Conduct front-end analysis by reviewing current operational directives, standing contingency plans, and conceptual approaches.
- Create scenarios to stress decision-making, capabilities, joint warfighting functions, and address operational and tactical issues within the Indo-Pacific environment.
- Contribute to the development of the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for operations based or complex discussion-based exercises.
- Attend all Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related military experience OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
- Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Special operations experience.
- Experience in exercise and scenario design and management.
- Experience conducting joint and coalition operations and training.
- Experience with Service, SOF, and Joint doctrine, planning, operations, training, and exercises.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.
- Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.
