SOCIAL SERVICES COUNTY MANAGER I
Job Duties
- Monitor Social Services Supervisor Expert, Social Services Specialists, Social Services Assistants, and manage office needs for all units in the building.
- Supervise staff, assign cases, end cases, and approve narratives.
- Meet with staff to ensure they are following all plans, policies, and procedures related to child safety.
- Ensure adequate services are provided to families.
- Confer on safety assessments, foster care removals, and TDM meetings.
- Review affidavits for 30 day/72 hours hold petitions and attend court hearings when necessary.
- Review history to ensure staff are assessing and making proper recommendations.
- Review narratives for accuracy and safety of children.
- Participate in TDM meetings, forensic interviews, and TCAR exams when necessary.
- Collaborate with other DCFS units, stakeholders, and community providers to ensure child safety.
- Work with community partners and stakeholders to provide adequate services to children and families.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in working with children and/or families.
- Some experience with community engagement or community resources.
- Public speaking and computer experience preferred.
- Organizational skills are a must.

Minimum Qualifications
At least three years of experience in human services, social services, public administration, or a related field.
