Social Media Strategist
About the role
As a Social Media Strategist, you will bring the Homesteaders brand to life across social media through storytelling, engaging creative, and platform-specific content that strengthens brand awareness, builds meaningful connections, and supports business growth. Your role will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to create content that resonates with external customers, internal employees, and industry stakeholders. You will develop and execute social content that supports marketing campaigns, generates engagement, and amplifies the company’s leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging, platform-specific content for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram that aligns with Homesteaders' brand, growth priorities, and social media strategy.
- Create graphics, animations, and short-form video using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva to enhance social content.
- Write compelling social media copy and partner with the design team to create graphics that maximize engagement and effectively communicate key messages.
- Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photo and video content, including short-form video optimized for social platforms.
- Identify emerging social media trends, platform updates, and content opportunities, recommending creative ways to increase visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
- Collaborate with the team to support integrated campaigns, product launches, lead generation initiatives, and recruitment marketing efforts.
- Develop social-first storytelling approaches that elevate Homesteaders’ thought leadership, customer success stories, company culture, and industry expertise.
- Monitor social media performance and prepare regular reporting on content effectiveness, audience engagement, and campaign performance. Use insights to continually optimize future content.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance content ideation, copy development, creative production, and workflow efficiency while maintaining the integrity and voice of the Homesteaders brand.
- Coordinate content capture at company events, customer meetings, conferences, and other activities to build a library of authentic social media assets.
- Monitor comments, conversations, and engagement opportunities, partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate responses when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience managing social media for a corporate brand, agency, or organization.
- Demonstrated experience creating high-performing social media content across multiple platforms.
- Experience writing compelling social media copy tailored to different audiences and platforms.
- Experience capturing and editing photography and short-form video for digital channels.
- Demonstrated understanding of and/or proficiency with the following applications and platforms: Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, HubSpot, AI platforms, Microsoft Office Products.
