Overview

We’re looking for a driven, resourceful Social Media Strategist to turn our social presence into a genuine brand and demand engine—not just a place we post, but a channel that builds our brands, grows an engaged following, and generates real leads and showroom traffic. You’ll own organic social across our family of retail brands, developing a clear point of view on how social moves someone from inspiration to action in the flooring journey. This role blends strategic thinking with hands‑on creation: you’ll set the vision, capture content, build the story, and read the numbers. Comfort behind a camera and in the edit suite is essential, as is a passion for home, visual storytelling, and proving that social drives business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Strategy & Demand Generation: Develop and own the organic social strategy for each retail brand, treating social as a demand‑generation channel that drives qualified traffic, leads, ecommerce sales, and foot traffic. Define platform strategy, content formats, community‑building tactics, and integration with the broader marketing funnel.
  • Content Creation & Brand Storytelling: Produce brand‑aligned photo and video content across platforms, selecting the right format for each moment. Plan, shoot, and edit high‑quality assets; collaborate with the Manager, Brand & Creative on visual style and content pillars; write engaging copy and work with copywriters to maintain brand voice; coordinate with creators, influencers, and partners.
  • Manufacturer & Co‑op Campaigns: Partner with manufacturers on co‑op campaigns, adapting shared assets into on‑brand social content and ensuring compliance with brand standards and partner requirements.
  • Community Management: Own day‑to‑day community interaction—responding to comments, messages, mentions, and reviews; building relationships with customers, influencers, industry voices, and local partners; spotting trends and cultural moments to capitalize on.
  • Production Design Support: Allocate roughly 10 hours per week (≈25% of the role) to support the brand design function, adapting and versioning creative assets for various channels and campaigns under the direction of the Manager, Brand & Creative.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on audience growth, engagement, traffic, and especially leads and conversions driven by social. Use data to refine strategy, optimize spend, and integrate social performance into broader marketing attribution.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years creating content and managing social media for a brand, with demonstrable results in audience growth, engagement, traffic, leads, or sales.
  • Builder’s mindset: experience growing a channel, testing tactics, and proving social’s impact beyond scheduling posts.
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including shooting, editing, and publishing high‑quality photo and short‑form video using standard editing tools.
  • Working proficiency in design tools and ability to adapt and produce visual assets.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities; comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking initiative.
  • Self‑starter attitude: resourceful, fast, and able to own outcomes in a growing, evolving brand.
  • Excellent writing skills with a sharp eye for composition and basic design principles.
  • Passion for interior design, home inspiration, and the home‑improvement space.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Event experience is a plus.
