About the Role
The Social & Emerging Media Manager will develop and produce engaging digital content and social media campaigns that strengthen the University's brand and reputation across institutional social media platforms. Reporting to the Director of Digital Content & Strategy, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders to create compelling content, manage digital campaigns, and support strategic communication initiatives for a variety of target audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital content and social media campaigns that support the University's brand and strategic communication goals.
- Create engaging content for institutional social media platforms targeting alumni, prospective students, opinion leaders, and other key audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop integrated digital communication strategies.
- Produce and manage multimedia content that aligns with University branding and messaging.
- Apply graphic design, marketing, writing, editing, reporting, and media production best practices to support communications initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
- Serve as a creative resource by providing recommendations and solutions for digital communication projects.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the University.
- Analyze available information and present recommendations and insights to leadership.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and digital media production.
- Understanding of marketing, promotions, content strategy, writing, editing, and media production.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software applications.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
