Social Media Manager

Core Duties

• Selects and creates content to be published on organizational websites.
• Ensures content supports the organization’s marketing or public relations strategies and presents a consistent message.
• Maintains a content calendar for daily operational use and forecasting/planning social media needs.
• Monitors trends in social media tools, trends, and applications and applies that knowledge to increasing the use of social media for national and international market presence.
• Strategizes with and educates the management team and others across the company on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all the company’s products and services.
• Maintains quality assurance (QA) associated with the release of new online content.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of broad social media and marketing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media platforms.
• Experience managing the entire social media platform for growth-oriented companies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and integrate with geographically dispersed leaders and teams.
• Strong problem-solving ability with prioritization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others both in person and across other offices through remote communications.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Desired Qualifications

• Candidates currently residing in San Antonio, TX or open to Austin, TX or within reasonable commuting distance to San Antonio with the ability to come into the San Antonio office as needed.
