About The Role
The Social Media Manager owns the organic social presence for a technology company, translating complex products, technical concepts, customer stories, and market insights into content that earns attention and builds trust across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and emerging channels. The role connects brand, product marketing, demand generation, and community engagement. Success means growing qualified reach, increasing engagement with priority audiences, supporting product launches, and delivering clear performance insights that improve content and channel strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the social media strategy, editorial calendar, and publishing workflows across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
- Create, edit, and publish posts, short-form video, carousels, executive content, product narratives, and campaign assets tailored to each channel
- Translate technical product features, industry trends, customer outcomes, and company announcements into clear, engaging social content
- Use tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and native platform analytics to schedule, monitor, and optimize content
- Track reach, engagement rate, follower growth, traffic, video completion, conversions, and assisted pipeline using GA4, UTM frameworks, and dashboarding tools
- Partner with product marketing, content, design, communications, and demand generation teams to support launches, events, campaigns, and executive thought leadership
- Monitor conversations, competitor activity, and emerging trends; manage community responses and escalate reputational or customer issues appropriately
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience managing social media, content marketing, communications, or brand programs for a technology company, agency, or high-growth organization
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute multi-channel social strategies tied to brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and demand-generation goals
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify technical or highly specialized subject matter for business and consumer audiences
- Hands-on experience with social publishing, listening, analytics, and creative tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, HubSpot, GA4, Canva, or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Comfortable using performance data to test messaging, creative formats, posting times, and calls to action, then communicate findings to marketing leadership
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with B2B SaaS, developer tools, AI, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms; executive social programs; paid social campaigns; short-form video production; and crisis communications
