About the role

The Slot Coordinator is responsible for item (SKU) inventory management by designating correct locations to optimize the flow of product selection and ensure accurate product inventory management. This role ensures all products are located in appropriate pick slots in the correct warehouse departments (dry/cooler/freezer) and ergonomically slotted to reduce personal injury and product damage. The position involves analyzing data to find solutions to slotting inefficiencies and interfacing professionally between purchasing, warehouse, transportation, and inventory departments.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect all pick slots for inventory accuracy and maintain pick slot integrity, including counts, ti-hi's, and cubing.
  • Initiate and manage the setup of slotting new items.
  • Analyze slot and product dimension requirements to ensure correct setup.
  • Report inventory adjustments, locations of empty slots, and other related information to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Analyze a variety of reports/data to effectively resolve slotting issues and verify slot contents and counts.
  • Routinely review inventory movement and effectiveness of slot locations.
  • Use systems and data to slot items correctly by cubic movement and weight to minimize replenishments, increase productivity, and reduce potential for personal injury and product damage.
  • Ensure all data is updated routinely and timely for informed decision-making across departments.
  • Inspect and maintain pick slot efficiency and effectiveness to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
  • Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 6–12 months of warehouse order selection, inventory control, or related warehouse work.
  • Pallet jack and forklift certification.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Pay

$16.00 – $25.00 per hour
