About the role
The Slot Technician I is responsible for diagnosing and repairing slot machines, providing training or assistance to less experienced technicians, and performing various other duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and respond to a variety of customer service-related issues.
- Perform repair and maintenance of component-level electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
- Install and remove gaming devices.
- Day-to-day preventative maintenance; troubleshoot ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; clear coin jams and bill validator jams.
- Assist in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
- Investigate and verify any ticket issues.
- Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
- Maintain and calibrate currency validators, execute machine moves, game conversions, and floor upgrades of current ticket-in ticket out products.
- Investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clear coin and bill jams.
- Perform day-to-day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.
- Regularly clean and sanitize work and public spaces.
- Adhere to Illinois Gaming Regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good communications skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Electronic background or minimum two years' experience in slot operations.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
- Successfully pass background check.
- Aged 21 or older.
- Able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
- Prior experience in the Gaming industry is strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Team leadership and motivational skills.
- Technical experience and training with slots.
- Electronics at circuit board level.
- Electronic and computer programming.
- Ability to deliver a service level that creates a positive, memorable entertainment experience for guests.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Interpret and explain policies and procedures.
Skills
- Ability to work holidays and weekends.

- Prior experience in the Gaming industry.

Pay
Pay Range: $15 - $20 per hour.
