About the role

Work on top of the mountain! As a host/busser, you are the first and last contact guests have with our lodge. Your role is critical in ensuring guest satisfaction, positive employee relations, and profitability. You will represent Sky House with professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Professionally and calmly maintain a steady, even flow of seating.
• Greet all guests and respond appropriately to requests and special needs.
• Provide guests with approximate wait times and offer beverages.
• Seat guests considering their preferences, servers' workload, and seating capacity.
• Hand out menus and provide booster seats or highchairs for young guests.
• Quickly inform servers of guest seating locations and relay any special requests.
• Thank guests for dining upon leaving and invite them to return.
• Assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant to ensure guest satisfaction by cleaning and resetting tables, helping servers with side work, and serving water and refilling sodas.
• Must be available on weekends; typical shift is 11am-5pm.
• Possess extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities.

Requirements

• Combined standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift with breaks as available.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level frequently; use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
• Worksite is both inside and outside; all sensory skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• English reading, writing, and communication; basic math.
• 4-6 months of job-specific work experience preferred.

Pay

$14 hourly plus tips.

Seasonal, part-time. Typical shift is 11am-5pm, must be available on weekends.
