Ski School Facility Supervisor

Three Rivers Park District is seeking to fill the position of Ski School Facility Supervisor at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove, MN. This position is responsible for supervising ski school and park operations in a manner that will result in high-quality experiences for park guests and is consistent with the Park District policies. Responsibilities

• Performs on-site leadership and supervisory functions in the daily operation of an assigned facility or shift, with emphasis on a strong on-site presence during peak use times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Initiates face-to-face contact with facility guests, including reservation and school groups to accommodate their needs to the highest degree possible.
• Promptly responds to and resolves issues raised by park guests.
• Provides supervision to instructors, attendants, and volunteers during assigned shifts and/or in the absence of the Park Operations Supervisor.
• Integrates Park District policies and regulations into facility operations.
• Keeps the supervisor apprised of issues related to high-risk facilities to ensure a safe operation.
• Coordinates the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of seasonal employees, volunteers, and other personnel functions, as assigned.
• Participates in the training and orientation of staff according to Park District and facility policies and procedures.
• Develops work schedules based on the work plans and budget, and provides supervision to assigned employees.
• Provides supervision to on-site volunteers and documentation of their hours.
• Evaluates employees on an on-going basis to provide feedback to them as assigned.
• Conducts seasonal employee performance appraisals, as assigned.
• Coordinates with the Park Operations Supervisor in developing an effective ski instruction program that meets user needs and is consistent with standards and technical concepts established by Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA/AASI).
• Recommends and develops ski school programs to meet user demands.
• Serves as a liaison between the Ski School and users in the implementation of programming.
• Coordinates with Park Operations Supervisor and other staff to assure proper communication of users’ needs.
• Develops ski school orientation and in-service training programs.
• Coordinates facility operations functions,
