Responsibilities

• Partner with the Customer: Build strong relationships with GM production, maintenance, and tool repair teams.
• Respond to Production Issues: Provide timely technical support during line disruptions, helping diagnose problems and recommend solutions to minimize downtime.
• Advise on Tool Troubleshooting: Work collaboratively with GM's union repair specialists by assisting with diagnostics, interpreting fault codes, and recommending repair procedures and corrective actions.
• Support Tool Performance: Assist with tool installations, configuration, software updates, and optimization to ensure equipment performs reliably and efficiently.
• Promote Preventative Maintenance: Recommend maintenance best practices, monitor tool health, and help identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Communicate Effectively: Keep customers informed, coordinate with internal Atlas Copco teams when additional support is needed, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Requirements

• Experience: 2-3 years in a production environment with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling, or data collection systems.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and comprehend schematics.
• Proficiency in MS Office, networking, and database systems.
• Physical Requirements: Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

Based at General Motors in Arlington, TX, operates on 3rd Shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). The position generally includes working Saturdays, resulting in an average workweek of approximately 49–50 hours. Schedule flexibility is required to support operational demands.
