Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of technicians, ensuring that their performance meets the company safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Manage the work schedule based on equipment availability and customer operational needs.
- Ensure work area cleanliness, tool accountability, and appropriate shop.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and subsystems.
- Inspect, repair, rebuild/overhaul components, such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
- Manage the relationship with the customer to ensure that work processes follow site safety and workflow guidelines.
- Communicate Equipment status and repairs ETC to customer.
- Create/Analyze site activity performance indicators and prepare corrective actions from these indicators.
- Manage punctual projects related to the maintenance station.
- Other assignments as designated by the Regional Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred, with a technical degree a strong plus.
- Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to understand and troubleshoot heavy equipment.
- Must have shop floor experience and the ability to manage the work schedule and have a presence for all three shifts.
- Must have strong leadership skills, though aptitude would be considered.
- Must have strong communication skills and judgment, with the ability to keep management informed and to know, with training, when to escalate a problem or issue.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
- 5S (or equivalent) experience for floor organization.
- ERP experience.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
- Able to work both as a team and/or independently with great success.
- Likely to have a valid driver’s license.
Other Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No travel restrictions.
Additional Information
Nice to have certifications:
- Med/Heavy Truck Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
- Universal HVAC certification preferred.
