About the role
We are seeking a Site HR Manager to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR professional who will take ownership of the full HR function within a busy manufacturing environment, working closely with managers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day HR point of contact for managers and employees at site level.
- Manage the full recruitment process for operational and salaried positions, including advertising, interviewing, offers, and pre-employment checks.
- Coordinate new starter processes, inductions, onboarding, and training.
- Support managers with employee relations matters, including investigations, absence, performance, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring HR documentation is compliant and up to date.
- Support performance management processes, including objectives, appraisals, and development activity.
- Coordinate training and development programmes across the site.
- Implement company-wide HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Provide HR reporting and key people metrics to support business and workforce decisions.
- Promote positive employee relations and an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures align with UK employment legislation.
- Work alongside the Health & Safety function to support compliance and employee records.
- Liaise with Finance to support monthly payroll administration.
- Support benefits, leave, and other employee-related processes.
- Collaborate with the wider HR team on projects, change initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification.
- Strong experience in a broad HR generalist capacity, ideally in a standalone or site-based HR role.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or a similarly fast-paced operational environment is highly desirable.

Pay
£45,000 pro rata.
