Site Director - Salida

Job Overview

Blue Diamond Growers is a grower-owned cooperative with $1.7B in annual revenue. The Site Director leads a food processing plant with approximately 600 employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensures personal and food safety objectives are achieved.
• Manages Operations, Distribution and Crop Receiving, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Health and Safety to deliver strategic and tactical plan goals.
• Communicates regularly with team members and coaches them for continuous improvement.
• Fosters an environment of continuous improvement and learning across all key focus areas.
• Develops and coaches the Salida Plant Leadership Team.
• Provides clear direction for the Salida Plant Leadership Team and engages in individual and team growth and development.
• Champions systems and process controls for efficient operations.
• Collaborates with peer Site Directors and other Directors within Global Supply.
• Starts up major capital projects at the site.
• Partners with Supply Chain team to meet production requirements.
• Provides enterprise-wide leadership and participates in the BDG Senior Leadership Team.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Operations related discipline
• 15 years or greater of progressive manufacturing or related operations leadership experience
• Experience collaborating within an Operations network that has multiple sites
• CPG experience
• Proven track record of driving change and improving performance by increasing employee engagement
• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles
• Strong leader with high interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills; demonstrated ability to apply strategic thinking to create and implement practical solutions to issues
• Ability to communicate and partner effectively with all levels of the organization and cross-functionally

Preferred Skills and Experiences

• Experience running a stand-alone plant
• Food manufacturing experience
• Experience starting up large capital projects
