Site Coordinator
Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry.
About the role
The Site Coordinator is responsible for maintaining safety standards within the organization, collaborating with other departments, and representing Jet Midwest while working with vendors. This position is onsite, full-time Monday through Friday, located in Kansas City, MO.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all departments—particularly operations, programs, sales, quality, and warehouse—to ensure accurate and timely response to internal and external customers and needs
- Maintain an open line of communication with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the highest level of safety and quality standards in line with industry best practices (people resources, environmental health and safety, methodologies, etc.)
- Support the Facility Maintenance and Safety team as needed
- Work with managers on all training topics
- Perform routine inspections and report discrepancies
- Perform spill clean-up as needed
- Analyze and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, determine if there is a need for change, and ensure expectations are managed accordingly with customers
- Create, implement, monitor, and manage appropriate KPIs
- Provide project management support
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of safety/OSHA preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Takes initiative and is self-motivating
- Significant ability to multi-task
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the responsibilities of the Site Coordinator, you will work in a variety of interior and exterior conditions and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (may include respirators). The job requires the ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, climb stairs/ladders, and/or work high off the ground, stand or walk for extended periods, work in tight/closed-in spaces, grasp tools and parts, and crouch or crawl. At times, some lifting may be required, up to 50 lb.
