SIMULATION COORDINATOR SENIOR
About the role
The Office of Interprofessional Simulation (OIPS) is seeking a simulation coordinator senior, or nurse educator, to work with faculty and staff in designing and implementing simulation-based learning experiences for pre-licensure students. The position supports the mission and vision of the Health System, the University, and the Office of Interprofessional Simulation by serving as a resource to employees, faculty, staff, residents, and students for simulation activity. It also involves evaluating training and education needs, program development, as well as implementation and evaluation of clinical simulation activities and overseeing programs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate training and education needs
- Develop and implement clinical simulation activities
- Evaluate and oversee simulation programs
- Serve as a resource to employees, faculty, staff, residents, and students for simulation activity
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing or a health professions field and five (5) years of related experience required
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing or other health professions field required
- Simulation experience is preferred
