Shuttle Driver_Event

About the Role

This position is responsible for driving a shuttle at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, a 2.54-mile road course located in the rolling hills 35 minutes north of Atlanta. The facility hosts major events such as the 10-hour Petit Le Mans race and prides itself on a family-friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Operate a shuttle bus and perform necessary “pre-trip” inspections.
• Assist guests on and off the bus.
• Operate a 2-way radio and communicate clearly.
• Check credentials/tickets of people riding the bus.
• Maintain a professional and courteous disposition to all guests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or 6 months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must maintain a valid Driver’s License (CDL is preferred unless the classification of vehicle type is required by state law).
• Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and some evenings.
• Position is safety-sensitive and participates in the corporate Substance Abuse Program (SAP).

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, lift, and/or move up to 50-100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
