Shuttle Driver

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour | Full-time & Part-time opportunities available in Wooster, Ohio.

Schedule

• 6:30am to 2:30pm and 2:00pm to 8:30pm shifts available
• Weekends and holidays required

Responsibilities

• Drive shuttle bus and transport customers to and from the facility
• Greet passengers and provide assistance with loading and unloading
• Operate the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all traffic and safety regulations
• Monitor vehicle condition and record malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms
• Communicate with dispatchers, drivers, and other employees using a two-way radio system to coordinate routes, announce arrivals and delays, and handle vehicle or customer issues
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shuttle buses to ensure sound operating conditions
• Monitor traffic and weather conditions, notifying dispatch or supervisor of potential problems
• Report accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor
• Treat all customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends
• Energetic, outgoing, and able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50 lbs if needed
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a friendly and professional approach
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and resolve customer issues positively
• DOT medical card (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ years of experience driving a shuttle bus or commercial vehicle
