Showroom Design Consultant- Vernon Hills

About the role

Join our team at JC Licht, a family-owned and audacious paint and decorating retailer with 62 locations across the greater Chicago area. As a Showroom Design Consultant in our Vernon Hills location, you’ll guide clients through selecting custom window treatments, wallcoverings, and paint colors for their homes or businesses. Your creativity and passion for design will help drive sales and build lasting customer relationships—no formal design education or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire design process.
• Greet and engage customers, uncovering their needs for color, wallcoverings, or window treatments, and help bring their design vision to life.
• Consistently meet and exceed sales goals for the home fashions department and your store.
• Collaborate with the home fashions team to cultivate appointments for the In-Home Services division and work alongside its designers.
• Build rapport with clients by demonstrating expert product knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
• Develop and maintain a customer base through networking, follow-ups, and ensuring satisfaction before and after the sale.
• Expertly use a POS system to prepare quotes and complete transactions, including paint and sundries.

Requirements

• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform light lifting.

Pay

$20–$25 per hour
