Responsibilities

  • Conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a minimum set of tools required for job performance.
  • Diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Attend and complete required technician training classes.
  • Perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, continuously improving work methods and safety standards.
  • Research repair needs and order parts as required.
  • Complete documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and supportive conduct, contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including housekeeping and contamination control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech III.
  • Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
  • Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs (highly desired).
  • Willingness to update knowledge through re-training as job requirements change (frequently once or more per year).

Physical Demands

  • Frequently (3-6 hours/day): Climbing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling/lifting up to 25 lbs, talking, hearing.
  • Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): Balancing, stooping, pushing/pulling/lifting 26-50 lbs, pushing/pulling/lifting over 50 lbs.
  • Constantly (6-8 hours/day): Sitting, grasping, repetitive motion, fingering, feeling.

Environmental Conditions

  • Constantly (6-8 hours/day): Inside conditions with temperature variations, noise requiring raised voices, hazards (e.g., moving parts, electrical current, heights, heat, chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation), exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
  • Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): Outside environmental conditions, extreme cold (below 32°F for over an hour), air particulates/contaminants requiring respirator use.
  • Frequently (3-6 hours/day): Extreme heat (above 100°F for over an hour), vibration (oscillating movements).
