Shipping Specialist
About the role
Under supervision, responsible for delivery and pick-up of patient orders for medications, supplies, and equipment in a safe, effective, and timely manner. In addition, responsible for designated activities related to cleaning and maintenance of infusion control devices, processing enteral supply orders, and managing and disposing of hazardous waste.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of professionalism, responsiveness, and communication in order to build and maintain the maximum customer base possible.
- Assist in organizing delivery routes and prepare daily Distribution Route Sheet.
- Perform individual delivery of patient orders and conduct in-home patient supply inventories.
- Obtain patient signatures on Delivery Tickets and other forms as indicated.
- Perform pick-up of supplies and equipment at completion of patient therapy and complete appropriate paperwork for returned patient goods.
- Give "Delivery Report" to the Operations Supervisor and complete designated delivery paperwork.
- Assist in cleaning, inspecting, and performing functional tests of infusion control devices and related equipment.
- Assist in picking, assembling, and packaging internal orders as needed.
- Participate in on-call schedule.
- Perform daily vehicle inspection and maintain vehicles in clean and proper working order per organization policy and procedure.
- Maintain emergency supply kit inventories in delivery vehicles.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and inventory areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Report all accidents, vehicle damage, moving violations or warnings, and driver's license suspensions to the Operations Supervisor.
- Provide high-quality services to the home-care patient and the home-care referral source.
- Attend and participate in conventions, trade shows, and in-services relating to IV therapy.
- Consistently represent the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain effective working relationships and cooperate with all personnel in the Company.
- Adhere to the Company’s compliance requirements as stated in the policy and procedure manual and all other related policies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- Knowledge of medical supplies/home healthcare desirable.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate well with patients and other employees.
- Ability to read a map.
- Dependable in attendance and job performance.
- Flexible with work schedule.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and frequently change direction.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to a reliable automobile.

Schedule
Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm (100% On-Site)
Pay
$19.00 - $24.00/hr (DOE)
