Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and customs documents when applicable.
- Schedule shipments and communicate with carriers, freight companies, and logistics providers.
- Verify shipping accuracy, ensure products are packaged and labeled according to customer and company requirements, and sign off on accuracy of shipment against purchase orders.
- Aid in resolving shipping discrepancies, delays, and transportation issues.
- Maintain shipping records and support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Verify quantities and condition of received materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately enter receiving and shipping transactions into inventory management systems.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Operational Support
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to support daily operational goals.
- Aid in training new team members on shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory procedures.
- Support process documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, accuracy, and workplace organization.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Ensure compliance with shipping, inventory, and packaging procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Participate in audit and inspection activities as required.
- Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote safe work practices.
