Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining shipping systems and databases, processing shipping documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of packages to customers and company locations. This role serves as a key point of contact for shipment tracking, client communication, and shipping issue resolution while supporting efficient logistics and customer service operations. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Stevens Point, WI office/facility.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and other receiving documents.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Accurately record received goods in inventory management systems.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and company requirements.
  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups as needed.
  • Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment when authorized.
  • Organize and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
  • Keep shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of shipping and receiving experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of shipping and receiving experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn shipping and logistics software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with international shipping and export documentation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and transportation processes.
  • Understanding of international shipping practices, customs documentation, and export requirements.
  • Ability to analyze shipment information and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Additional Information

This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Applicants must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.). Donaldson will not offer immigration sponsorship or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position. International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered.
