Shipping/Planning Coordinator

About the role

This full-time permanent position is located in Plymouth, North Carolina, United States.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the production schedule for the NC5 fluff pulp machine, including managing the mill-stock production order fulfillment process.
• Conduct daily reviews of container booking status changes and update production schedules and order files accordingly.
• Coordinate with the Logistics Manager and Corporate Production Planner to allocate customer product orders, update forecast demand, and set proper lead times while minimizing grade, setup, and transportation changes.
• Assist in managing mill inventory levels for finished goods to align with planned shipment windows and customer-required onsite stock inventory.
• Manage existing warehouse inventory and apply it to incoming orders as required.
• Coordinate production and transportation capacity planning.
• Advise the Logistics Manager and Corporate Production Planner of imbalances requiring schedule modifications or order shipment adjustments.
• Plan and schedule shipments with dedicated dray carriers, trucking, and rail lines as orders are processed and updated.
• Maintain accurate onsite order files, including daily changes and updates.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to gain proficiency with Autoprod, DPS, and other relevant software platforms.
• Strong planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Leadership potential and a mindset for driving positive change in processes, expectations, and performance.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization.
• Some level of production and/or transportation planning experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to be on-call, including working off-hours and weekends as required.
• This position will require after-hours and weekend call duty for the Planning group.
