Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Associate

About the Role

The Shipping Clerk / Warehouseman Associate is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing shipment paperwork for the physical warehouse and any assigned 3rd Party warehouses. This includes managing Bill of Ladings, Certificate of Analysis forwarding, carrier paperwork preparation, and other shipment-related documents for both inbound and outbound shipments. The role also involves assisting with inventory management, including receiving, inventory processes, physical counts, and damage/defective control.

Responsibilities

• Manage the warehouse email box
• Prepare and gather all necessary shipment paperwork for both inbound and outbound shipments
• Prepare FedEx/UPS or other ground carrier shipments as needed
• Assist with RCNA warehouse duties as instructed by the direct manager
• Perform warehouse operations in RCNA manned warehouses
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to unload, load, and move materials daily
• Reconcile warehouse inventory to supplied paperwork as needed
• Ensure accuracy of lots, packaging codes, nomenclature, weight of material, supplier, etc.
• Handle shipments and receipts in accordance with RCNA Warehouse SOP
• Communicate any damaged material received with the appropriate personnel (e.g., Claims, Receiving)
• Serve as the point of contact for work order lot issues in the warehouse
• Analyze the Open Pack Out/Open Transfers report to ensure shipments are scheduled and completed within the required completion date
• Communicate with Customer Service Representatives, Buyers, Claims Coordinators, and Inventory Coordinators regarding work order completion and changes
• Update all reports for month-end reporting as needed
• Perform necessary adjustments to close out small pounds or rounding calculations
• Act as a liaison between inventory, customer service, purchasing, and warehouse teams regarding inventory matters
• Serve as the primary warehouse contact for RCNA shipment processing and inventory for the RCNA Kent warehouse
• Ensure all documentation is current and adhered to
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse setting and with shipping documents
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Excel (Teams, SharePoint preferred)
• Ground shipment experience
• Forklift and warehouse machinery experience
• Haz-Mat experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Forklift certification
