Shipping Clerk - Small Packaging

Job Summary

About the role

The Shipping Clerk under the direction of the Distribution Supervisor and guidance from the Warehouse Lead, is responsible for preparing orders for shipping.

Responsibilities

• Verify quantities and product against packing slips.
• Use of ERP system to process orders.
• Prepare and ship orders according to specifications on customer orders.
• Use and interpret bin locator and date code systems.
• Able to use TRAX order entry system.
• Operate shipping equipment (taper, etc).
• Obtain product knowledge.
• Capture approved freight companies for pickups, if applicable.
• Use of forklift, as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (skills, Knowledge, Experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Good math skills.
• Use of appropriate PPE.
• Prior forklift experience.
• 6 months prior shipping experience.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends when properly notified to meet the needs of the customer.
