Shipping Clerk

Key Position Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Reads and understands packing, marking and shipping instructions.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
• Cook with carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect packaging and verify outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
• Resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Aid in receiving product from vendors and scanning and organizing documentation in preparation for inspection.
• Aid in inventory management and stock control (Cycle Counts).
• Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
• Aid with packaging and preparing outgoing work for vendor processing.
• Work with the Assembly and Vibro Departments as needed.
• Be available for overtime and extended weekend hours as needed for month end closings.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

• Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Strong organizational skills, self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Word and Excel. Intermediate or advanced knowledge a plus.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to fluently read, work and follow instructions in English.
• Possess a Class C, California Driver’s License. Maintain good driver safety record. (Must provide DMV record annually).
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Maintain superior teamwork, effort and attitude.
• Attention to detail, pay specific attention to tasks.

• ITAR Requirement Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) or a Foreign Person for whom a license is obtained.
• Quality Requirement Employees will participate as required in understanding, implementing and maintaining the Company Quality Policy in accordance with AS-9100C and/or ISO-9001:2008 requirements.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Position works around machinery and equipment.
• The employee is expected to access, enter, and retrieve data by using a computer terminal.
• This position requires employee to stand for 8 hours.
• The position requires employee to drive a delivery vehicle.
• The position requires lifting parts up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
• The employee must often bend and reach to load, unload, or stack materials on equipment, in delivery truck or van.
• The employee also moves throughout the building to collect, deliver and handle production parts.
