Shipping Clerk: LMI
Ludlum Measurements Inc is seeking a talented Shipping Clerk professional to join our team in Sweetwater, Texas. This is a high-volume, physical operation requiring a meticulous person to work as part of a team dedicated to ensuring the integrity of our shipping operations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pack items according to shipping requirements and company standards, selecting appropriate packaging materials to protect products during transit.
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation for each shipment.
- Weigh and measure packages to determine shipping costs and methods.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and delivery updates.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stocking and organizing materials.
- Ensure sufficient packaging supplies are available.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Work with other shipping clerks to handle invoices promptly and ensure goods are shipped and stored properly.
- Unload trucks and deliveries.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, as many packages are large.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and work primarily standing.
- Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as teamwork is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Relevant customer service experience is a plus.
