Shipping Clerk

About the role

Shipping and Receiving role focused on storing and disbursing a variety of materials, parts, and assemblies for Guidant Measurement, a global leader in high-accuracy measurement solutions for the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Have knowledge of Bill of Ladings.
• Maintain photo documentation of all shipments prior to final pack.
• Verify shipments before final packaging.
• Verify proper materials per requirements of picklist.
• Maintain proper organization of shipping lanes in correspondence with the shipping board.
• Maintain record keeping paperwork such as recording serial numbers, interpreting and following routings, making short sheets, and recording location of materials.
• Properly pack materials for shipment.
• Operate jitney and material moving equipment.
• Maintain work area in a neat, clean, and orderly manner according to shop safety and housekeeping practices.
• Use tools including a computer, lift trucks, overhead crane, drill press, labeling and bagging equipment.
• Climb step ladders as necessary.

Requirements

• Must be proficient in SAP.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
• Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook.
• Accurate counting skills are a must.

Work Environment

Spends 95% of the time in a manufacturing/shop environment and 5% in an office environment. Will be exposed to possible hazards including working with high-pressure equipment and confined spaces.

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing upward, and crawling in confined workspaces.
• Regular lifting required.
