About the role
Ultimate Staffing is hiring for a Shipping Clerk at a warehouse/distribution customer in Shelby Township. This is a temp‑to‑hire position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare shipping paperwork (pallet sheets, tags, summaries, ASN's)
- Enter shipment details into our Warehouse Management System
- Create Bills of Lading and coordinate with carriers
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) for shipments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using computers, email, and phone and have good verbal and written communication skills
- Team‑oriented and self‑motivated, willing to learn and take on different tasks
- Overall understanding of warehouse/shipping operations
- Good multitasking and attention to detail
- Familiar with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Maps
- 2+ years recent shipping experience in a warehouse environment; familiarity with UPS Worldship, FedEx, international shipping very helpful; knowledge of freight routing guidelines
Pay
Hourly pay rate: $17‑20, depending on experience.
