Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

About the role
The Shipping & Receiving/Facilities Coordinator ensures timely and accurate distribution of incoming and outgoing shipments, department mail, and supports facility-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and Process Shipments (50%)
- Prepare and process domestic or international shipments for UPS and LTL per customer requirements.
- Complete bill of lading and schedule pick-ups.
- Mailroom (20%)
- Collect, sort, and meter outgoing letters and packages.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes to appropriate departments.
- Record and sort incoming and outgoing boxes; deliver or notify recipients.
- Perform miscellaneous mailroom duties: deliver faxes, meter and bundle mail, process literature requests, apply labels to envelopes and boxes.
- Facilities Coordination (20%)
- Coordinate facilities maintenance, safety, and upkeep for the Burnsville office.
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, and Product teams to organize storage areas (e.g., cages, pathways, dock).
- Coordinate HSE-related topics with the RBNA/HSE team; identify and resolve safety issues.
- Create purchase requisitions for facilities, work with vendors, and process goods receipts.
- Support site management with access control tasks (e.g., new hire badges or keys).
- Promote continuous improvement ideas for facility operations.
- Handle other facilities projects as needed.
- Other Duties as Assigned (10%)
- Close and receive SAP purchase orders.
- Order and maintain shipping supplies.
- Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklift) with appropriate certification.
- Deliver copy paper to printers throughout the building.
- Collect and process recycling materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mailroom environment preferred.
- Service-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic accounting procedure knowledge.
- Ability to lift and carry 10 to 60-pound packages routinely.
- Proficiency in operating mailroom equipment (scales, meter machine, fax, copier, 10-key).
- Tasks may involve lifting, pushing, pulling, standing for extended periods, light typing, and occasional sitting.
- Additional facilities-related training may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lead experience.
Pay
U.S. hourly rate: $25.00–$28.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined based on work experience, job knowledge, role complexity, and location.
