Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Essential Job Functions Monitor incoming shipments and adjustmentsEffectively respond to emailsAllocate material for each shipmentPrint and provide orders for workflowSchedule all freight for outgoing shipmentsPoint of contact for all freight needs and requestsComplete final check for all outgoing shipmentsResponsible for all paperwork connected to each shipmentPoint of contact for vendors picking up materialContribute to the oversight of machines, operations, productivity as neededFollow standard operating proceduresUtilizes brand standards to ensure shipments are sent out consistentlyComplete documentation as requiredMaintains cleanliness and organization within the warehouseMaintains a culture of Zero HarmEffectively communicates with internal and external entities working diligently to resolve issuesPromotes company culture through behavior based on DWC’s mission, vision, purpose and valuesOperates with a high level of urgency, maximum productivity, and profitabilityOperate all warehouse machinery and tools including but not limited to re-spooler, dye and stripe machine, pallet jacks, fork lifts, cutters, power toolsAssist where and when needed Requirements 2-3 years shipping, coordinating or related experience preferredAbility to work independently or collaborativelyStrong communication skills in a fast paced environmentMust exhibit urgency with a commitment to superior service levelsDemonstrated ability to be detail orientedTakes initiativeCustomer focused mindsetStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsReading and understanding paperwork, wire descriptions and numbersCan add and subtract numbers in the thousandsComfortable with google suite and various software applicationsMaintains cleanliness and organization within the warehouseMaintains a culture of Zero HarmAbility to lift, carry, pull and maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 100 lbs regularlyAbility to work in a position that requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, squatting, twisting and reachingAbility to perform repetitive step up and down throughout shift from MHE (material handling equipment)Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen Salary Range: $22/hour and eligible for bonus Some reasons you want to work at DWC Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceCompany paid LifeVoluntary life, short- and long-term disability401kExcellent time off optionsCaring familyThe work that you do matters Distributor Wire & Cable is an equal opportunity employer
