Shipping and Receiving Associate

About the role

Nedland Industries is a family-owned manufacturing company that takes pride in its quality workmanship and employee support. We specialize in custom fabrication and manufacturing and are currently looking for a Shipping & Receiving Trainee to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Learn the full operation of shipping and receiving while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Perform quality checks throughout production and at final completion.
• Prepare containers and coordinate movement to the paint room and wash areas.
• Complete final inspections and prepare products for shipment or customer pickup.
• Organize products for safe, efficient loading.
• Unload incoming deliveries and inspect materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and keep warehouse areas organized.
• Work closely with production, paint, and management teams.
• Manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all work meets company specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

• Prior shipping/receiving experience (must be listed on resume).
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Shipping & Receiving Manager role.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Qualifications

This role is not for individuals without prior shipping/receiving experience. Temporary or short-term applicants are not suitable for this position. Applicants uncomfortable with hands-on, physical work are not eligible.
