About the role
As a Protolabs employee, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to innovation and excellence in additive manufacturing solutions. You will work on projects that push the boundaries of what is possible with 3D printing and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize product prototypes
- Conduct quality assurance testing and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Provide technical support and training to colleagues and clients
- Stay current with advancements in additive manufacturing technology and materials science
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in additive manufacturing or related fields
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling tools
Qualifications
- Experience with 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLS, SLA, and LOM
- Knowledge of material properties and selection for additive manufacturing
- Understanding of metrology and inspection techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Skills
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Experience with 3D scanning and reverse engineering
- Knowledge of process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
