Shipping Administrator

About the role

The Shipping Admin is responsible for preparing items for shipment, comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry as required
  • Processing shipping transactions through the computer's shipping module
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • General warehouse admin
  • Communication with customer service
  • ERP system order processing
  • Shipping orders that have been picked (printing labels, verifying accurate picking)
  • Communication with truckers regarding incoming container receipts
  • Communication with third-party couriers to schedule pickups

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Demonstrate basic math and computer skills
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to function in a team environment
  • Possess a sense of responsibility to accomplish tasks without supervision

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • TMS experience preferred
  • UPS/FedEx experience preferred
  • Epicore experience preferred
  • A minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in shipping and/or receiving department

Skills

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to function in a team environment
  • Sense of responsibility to accomplish tasks without supervision

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. (Subject to change based on business demands)
