About the role

Richardson Oilseed Products US, a division of Richardson International, operates a state-of-the-art oil packaging facility in Memphis, TN where it refines and packages one of the United States’ most recognized brands of canola and vegetable cooking oils, Wesson Oil. We currently have an opportunity for a Shipper/Receiver at our Memphis, TN facility.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules
  • Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times, including:
    • Always using the required personal protective equipment
    • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
    • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
    • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
    • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
  • Complete paperwork as required, receive shipments, lot tracking, controls around auditing, scheduling/coordinating trucking off-shift and supervisor fill-in
  • Unload, count, perform data entry and stocking of inbound material and/or pick, audit and ship outbound orders
  • Enter data into inventory system using RAMP-PROPS
  • Verifies accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities against documents
  • Prepares items for delivery including acquiring signatures and maintaining Receiving documents
  • Sign for receipt of product from delivery drivers and assist in unloading of trucks if required
  • Sort product and ensure accuracy of product received
  • Verify product condition and suitability for receipt and electronically receive product
  • Use of automated data collection equipment and computers is required
  • Place product into assigned locations, perform bin consolidation, warehouse transfers and restocking from overstock to pick locations
  • Using picklists or paperless picking tools, select items from stock to ship and document items selected and record picker number on picklist
  • Using Picklists or barcode readers, audit picked shipments to verify correct part number, serial/lot number and quantity and document errors detected on the provided log
  • Alert a lead or supervisor if product condition is in question or there is any issue with the accuracy of an order
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance as assigned and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Understand instruction and follow direction
  • Work primarily in a warm to hot environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $22.45 per hour.
