Shipper/Receiver - 2nd shift - RDC

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver on 2nd shift at our new site on Innovation Loop in Youngsville, NC. Core hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

Pay

$19.00 per hour plus a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Sort, verify, record, and route incoming and outgoing shipments
• Adhere to quality guidelines and perform quality checks as instructed
• Operate and read hand-held RF units to locate, move, and allocate material
• Use SAP to process all incoming and outgoing freight
• Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights, and affixing proper postage and paperwork
• Interface with shipping office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery
• Coordinate required emergency shipments and requests during non-work hours
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions
• Drive and maintain forklifts through daily inspection checklists
• Perform 5S+ housekeeping duties as necessary

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment including order selection, packing, and receiving processes
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered; active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from the geographical limitation

Preferred Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using SAP or a warehouse management system
• Basic understanding of Microsoft applications

Skills

• Ability to use good judgment when handling material with a safety focus
• Willingness to work daily and/or weekend overtime and flex to different areas or local plants as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position
• Willingness to become certified in operation of forklifts to transport and locate equipment and materials
