Shipper / Receiver - 2nd Shift
The IS AER FED division of Eaton is seeking a Shipper / Receiver - 2nd Shift to join their team in Rumford, RI. Hours are 3 pm - 11 pm, with an hourly rate of $28.83 per hour plus a $0.60 shift premium. Salary details vary based on qualifications, experience, and market conditions.
About the role
This role is part of a unionized workforce. After 60 days, employees can bid on other union positions within the organization, which are awarded based on qualifications and seniority.
Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming products and move them throughout the shop to different teams.
- Maintain accurate stock data in the company's computer systems.
- Work with shipping partners like FedEx, DHL, and UPS to complete inventory tasks such as cycle counting.
- Review shipping documentation from suppliers to ensure PO numbers and quantities are correct.
- Support movement of materials using company van, pallet jacks, stand-up lifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure accuracy of product information by reading incoming supplier documents.
- Verify quantities of products before placing them into the proper location and ensure accuracy in the internal computer system.
- Issue material to the shop floor based on job requirements.
- Review pick lists to locate parts and issue to jobs throughout the facility.
- Complete cycle counts to ensure high levels of accuracy.
- Check inventory levels, issue material to the stock floor based on work order packets, and ship product to customers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving in manufacturing or a related environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
